finding the space is designed to facilitate employees and volunteers to learn and enhance skills in self-awareness, resilience, reflective practice and authentic leadership. This course teaches core competencies from Mindfulness, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (values and committed action, vision and mission).
The programme is fundamentally transformational and helps participants to develop reflective and philosophical skills to understand their role, presence, and leadership style. Learn essential skills for managing change through dialogue, reflective practice, inquiry, guided discovery and dialectical approaches (DBT, wise mind) by creating the space to lead.
The course runs on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30pm – 5pm, commencing on Tues 24th April and concluding on Tuesday 12th June. The course fee is €150 and includes course notes and certificates. There are ten places on this course.
Learn to teach mindfulness-based interventions such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) in clinical or educational settings.
The training will be interactive, experiential, collaborative, and will draw on a model of participatory development, blended learning, research, practice and skills. An important part of the course is that trainees develop a daily personal mindfulness practice and organise placements in community, voluntary, charitable or NGO settings.
The programme seeks to meet the needs of experienced mental health professionals from a variety of settings who aim to enhance their practice and extend their professionalism to include the highest standards of teaching, dissemination and evaluation of mindfulness-based interventions.
One Sunday per month over 24 months and two residential retreats (August, 2018/2019). Total training 275 hours. Fee €750 per year, total training fee €1500.

Join a group of mental health professionals, guidance counsellors, and educators to explore and learn proven and practical CBT and mindfulness interventions tailored specifically to treat the most frequently occurring emotional and behavioural problems with adolescents and young people.
Provide more balanced approaches to responding to life and helping shift the way teenagers perceive and apprise situations as stressful. The programme includes one-to-one interventions for therapists and a ten-session teaching programme Mindfulness in Transition for secondary schools.
