Responding to the growing interest in mindfulness, A Year of Living Mindfully offers a unique opportunity to develop and deepen the practice of mindfulness and compassionate living. This year-long programme will integrate elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, compassion and wisdom approaches.
Practical psychological and mindfulness skills will be explored including techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, radical self-acceptance (DBT), and compassion and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Insights from wisdom traditions, reading and group inquiry will enhance an engaging and practical programme with the invitation to wake up wholeheartedly to the abundantly, richly textured fabric of everyday life as our primary spiritual guide.
Readings, dharma talks and discussion for each session will be enhanced through quotations and guidance from the works of Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, Pema Chödrön, Tara Brach, Christine Feldman, Sharon Saltzberg, Jon Kabat-Zinn, William James, Matthieu Ricard, Eckhart Tolle and other mindfulness influences.
Savour sustained periods of silence, quiet reflection with poetry, sharing, reading, and peer support. Restore wellbeing through the seasons with greater calm and clarity as you learn practical ways to sustain and support your practice and develop a personalised self-care plan to guide you through the year.
The cost for the year-long programme is €95.
