Learn the most effective techniques to manage anxiety, panic, negative self-talk and utilise lifestyle skills to reduce stress, worry and tension.

During this six-week training, participants will have the opportunity to learn about common problems that often complicate anxiety and panic such as avoidance, rumination, self-criticism, and intrusive emotional memories. The training will be presented with a combination of seminar, discussion, meditation, emotional regulation exercises, visual and creative interventions, and reflection within a skills-based learning environment.

Course commences Wednesday, 27th March 2019 until Wednesday, 15th May 2019 from 10:30am to 1pm. There are eight places available on this course. Cost: €250

Learn and implement evidence-based interventions to stop the anxiety spiral to significantly reduce the habit of worry and panic by using cutting-edge regulatory skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.

Integrate techniques for treating cognitive and thought processes that feed and fuel anxiety and panic.
Practice skills for overcoming negative self-talk, rumination and simple techniques to clear the mind of racing thoughts, self-judgements and criticism.

Utilise skills for preventing and coping with panic attacks and techniques to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and persistent worry and overthinking.

Identify the roots of anxiety in the brain and body and the impact of anxiety and panic on the body and breathing. Learn about neuroscience, brain training and breathing exercises that will enhance emotional regulation.

Learn and utilise specific behavioural and cognitive interventions to decrease symptoms of panic disorder, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety.

Implement simple and effective exercises from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy and paradoxical methods to reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety.

Recognise and understand thoughts, feelings, behaviours and habits of mind that underlie anxiety, including shame, blame, guilt and excessive self-protection.

Participants on this course will receive weekly set of notes, daily home practices/exercises, workbook, box cards, and one complimentary session during the training.
